Quantitative Molecular Systems Imaging & Therapy

The Shoghi Lab is in the Precision RadioTheranostics Translation Laboratories (PRT2L) at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

The research interests of the Shoghi lab are cross-disciplinary spanning biology of disease mechanisms, engineering and imaging sciences. We develop and implement multi-modal molecular imaging technologies, bioinformatics analyses, and quantitative imaging pipelines to interrogate disease biology and therapeutic efficacy.  Current projects include: 1) co-clinical oncologic imaging and therapy; 2) quantitative imaging to phenotype tumor heterogeneity 3)  role of inflammation and oxidative stress in obesity/diabetes; 4) development of a preclinical imaging informatics platform (PIXI); 5) development of micro bioreactors to investigate disease biology.
